Who we are

Barnes Plumbing & Heating Ltd (“we”, “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 12161286, with its registered office at Lovett Farm, Little Somerford, Chippenham, Wiltshire SN15 5BP. What we collect

When you send our quote form we receive the details you enter: your name, phone number, and optionally your email address, postcode, the service you need, how urgent it is, and your message. If you call, text or email us, we receive the details you share in that conversation.

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.

Why we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, arrange visits, prepare quotes and, if you go ahead, carry out the work, issue certificates and keep the records the law requires. Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing that contract, complying with legal obligations (for example gas safety and tax records), and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

We never sell your information or use it for marketing you haven’t asked for.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run this website:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and runs Turnstile, an automatic check that stops spam bots using the form.
• Resend delivers form submissions to us by email, and sends you a confirmation if you give an email address.

These providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law. We may also share information where the law requires it, for example with the Gas Safe Register or Building Control when we notify work.

How long we keep it

If you don’t go ahead with any work, we delete your enquiry within 24 months. If you become a customer, we keep job records, certificates and invoices for as long as we need them for warranties, safety records and tax, which is normally six years.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, or restrict or object to how we use it. To do any of these, email nick@barnes-plumbing.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
